LAST YEAR... SRRPDA raised enough money to fund two Music in the Park events in the Town of Glasgow, one was during RIVERFEST!
We also held a bucket brigade last August and have $500 in our "kitty for this year. Watch the "thermometer" on the left grow as our fund raising projects begin this spring. This year, SRRPDA's goal is to raise $7,500 by the end of RIVERFEST. We hope you will help by attending our events and supporting our sponsors with your patronage, so that they will continue to advertise with us! |
THIS YEAR... We hope to identify possible candidates for these funds! Suggestions include: A SPRAY PARK for kids! Providing refreshing fun without the need for lifeguards and expensive pool maintenance.
MORE IMPROVEMENTS to the boat ramp area in Glasgow, and the addition of a ramp/landing on the James River itself.

HIKING TRAILS connecting our area to the Appalachian Trail system and to nearby communities like Buena Vista are also an idea.
RESTORE THE CANAL RUINS! Our local history is rich in river lore. Our area had many locks and dams, but they need loving care. Go find out more here!
